Have you “herd” the news?

The Henry Vilas Zoo will be hosting some special guests this summer in the shape of sculptures designed and created by local and regional artists.

We invite you to hop over to the Henry Vilas Zoo to take a walk on the “wild side” and discover the 34 art sculptures inspired by their live animal counterparts.

The art will be displayed June 19-September 26, 2010 and sold at a live and silent auction event on October 22, 2010 at the Madison Marriott West. In addition to the animals showcased at the zoo, smaller, tabletop-sized animals will be on display at retail locations around Madison. These animals too will be auctioned in October.

Proceeds from the auction event will benefit American Family Children’s Hospital and the Henry Vilas Zoo.

The Art Zoobilee art display will be unveiled on Saturday, June 19 and will be open to the public at the Henry Vilas Zoo from 9:30am-5pm daily.
